About Me:
Since about 10 years old, I have had a love for all things photography and videography. What started out as a hobby has turned into a professional career. I’m a 2026 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Liberty University with a BS in Digital Media and Journalism with a focus in Video Production and a minor in Photography.
Experience:
In the fall of 2023, I gained freelance experience covering a Liberty football game during the regular season, the CUSA Football Championship game, created an interview video with a member of Liberty’s Worship Collective, and traveled to the 2024 Fiesta Bowl as a sideline photographer. From 2024 to 2026 I worked as a Student Photographer with Liberty University’s Marketing Department. I captured a wide array of events like NCAA athletic games, concerts, and university functions. During the summer of 2025, I served as a Video Intern with the United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA), where I filmed live baseball and softball games, conducted on-site interviews, edited highlight reels, and created social media content.
Currently:
I’m currently growing my freelance creative business, Emily Cuthrell Creative, while pursuing opportunities in photography, videography, and digital media. I’m available for weddings, portraits, events, sports, and other creative projects, and I’m always looking for opportunities to collaborate with individuals, brands, and organizations. Along with freelance work, I am the content creator for Ava Piland, a country singer from Virginia. Whether I’m behind the camera capturing a once-in-a-lifetime moment or creating content that tells a story, I’m passionate about creating work that feels authentic, intentional, and memorable.
